Pictured is the set of four books that were created for 2017 NAIDOC Week celebrating `Our Languages Matter'. The project aim was to retrieve, maintain, preserve and protect Indigenous language by ensuring young children have access to culturally appropriate material. The booklets contain simple and grammatically correct sentences in Kuku Yalanji with illustrations provided by talented local artists.
The books are now for sale as a collection of four for $20 or $5 each. Art work that is represented in the book is also for sale. Enquiries to Jill Bradley - 4098 2005
