Kerrie Jamieson, ChairPerson & Director

  • Joined MSS in 2012

  • Qualifications : Bachelor of Business (UNE) incomplete

  • Experience and expertise: 40 years managerial and operational experience in agricultural and tourism related industries.  Over the years, Kerrie has been an active member of various boards including Port Douglas Daintree Tourism, 2 YOU FM Radio Station, and the Kootingal Pony Club. 

  • Responsibilities :  fund raising, staff, Department of Communities and other government departments.

Christine Price, Director

  • Joined the Board of DSCSA in 2003 President from 2004 to 2010.  

  • Qualifications :  Bachelor of Science, PGDE (Post Graduate Diploma of Education), T.Cert Training and Accreditation for UQ Chemistry Faculty Enhanced Studies program, Child Protection Training, Odyssey Training for EQ in Standard Operating Environments, Accredited Trainer for Australian Academy of Science

  • Experience and expertise:  40 years’ experience in education as a teacher, in administration and at consultant level. 

  • Responsibilities :  Mossman Community Centre and the Community Christmas Lunch 


Christine Cowell, Director

  • Became Volunteer in MCC kitchen August 2011

  • Management Committee member since 2011

  • Qualifications :  30 years in hospitality (food & conference/trade show area).   Christine also owned her own catering company.

  • Responsibilities : Mossman Community Centre


Robyn Perry, Director

  • Experience and expertise: 30 years experience in the youth and community development sector especially working with indigenous communities throughout the region, Cape York and Torres Strait.

  • Responsibilities:  Youth Centre

Abigail Noli, Director

  • Qualifications:  sports scientist, qualified primary and secondary teacher 

  • Experience and expertise: professional soccer player, language (ELT and Italian), administration for nursing home, physical wellbeing activities in aged care, strategic/ operational planning, governance, public relations, media relations, evaluation, public speaking, evaluation and strategic analysis of policies and procedures, Douglas Shire councillor 

  • Responsibilities: local Council liaison, Youth Centre

Kenneth Lay, Director

  • Qualifications : Anglican Priest

  • Experience and expertise: 25 years experience with the church, chaplaincy and refugee support

  • Responsibilities: NDIS - Disabilities

Chris Hameister, Director

Experience and Expertise: International buisness

Responsibilities: Sales and marketing, Men's shed & finance
