Our approach

A person-centred approach

Our service is inclusive and open to everyone. We assess each request individually, based on your situation and what help we're able to provide.

This means we look at your whole situation — including your needs and your family — to offer the most suitable support. You are seen as a whole person, not a case number.

This program is funded by the Department of Social Services, with additional support from the Queensland Government — allowing us to offer a wider range of assistance within approved guidelines.

🔒
Safe & confidential
Everything you share with us is treated with strict confidentiality. Our service is a safe space.
🤝
Respectful & non-judgmental
We meet you where you are. Everyone deserves dignity — regardless of their circumstances.
🌟
Inclusive & welcoming
Our service is open to everyone in the Douglas Shire community. No referral is required to walk through the door.
🚫
Please note — no cash payments
We are unable to provide cash payments. Support is provided through goods, vouchers, referrals and practical assistance.
