A welcoming weekly gathering for anyone who loves music — whether you want to sing, play, listen or simply enjoy the company. No experience needed. Just come as you are.

What happens at Music Group?
Every session is relaxed, friendly and fun. You can join in as much or as little as you like — there is absolutely no pressure to perform or participate in any particular way.
Whether you want to belt out your favourite song, tap along quietly, strum a chord or just sit back and enjoy the atmosphere — you are welcome here exactly as you are.

Born from a jam session
Music Group didn't begin with a formal plan or a funding proposal. It started the way the best things often do — a few participants decided to get together for a jam session, and something special happened.
Word spread, more people came, and what started as an informal get-together has grown into a weekly activity that many people genuinely look forward to. It's one of those programs that reminds us why community connection matters.
Guided by volunteer musicians
Music Group is led by friendly volunteer musicians who give their time to create a safe, welcoming space for everyone. Their enthusiasm, patience and love of music set the tone for each session — warm, inclusive and always a little bit joyful.

Morning Tea
A light morning tea is often shared during the session. This depends on volunteer availability on the day — but when it's there, it adds to the warm, social feel of the gathering. Think a cuppa, a biscuit and good conversation between songs.
Music Group on Facebook
Music Group has its own Facebook page — a friendly online space to stay connected between sessions, share posts and keep up to date with what's happening.
